What I've Learned #667: Remember Death

My friend Stuart Davis has a tattoo on his wrist. It says “memento mori” which means, remember death.

A lot of us are asleep at the wheel in our lives. Living as if, “someday I’m gonna get around to doing this or that.”

Bullshit.

Do it today. If you can’t, do *something* that makes a chin-hair’s worth of progress towards it. No holding back. No waiting for the perfect time.

Reason being, this could be THAT day. THE day. The one that you can bet your ass will come. The last one.

If at midnight tonight you were going to die, what have you done today that would make you proud that it was your last?

Remember death as a friend that helps you get the most out of life.
